1. KIMCHI!


    There is nothing better to add a little excitement to a meal than something pickled or something spicy.  And what about something that’s pickled AND spicy?!  Here’s where kimchi comes in—-it is a great way to preserve fresh veggies for wintertime and it tastes wonderful on just about any dish (but especially on rice with other veggies, meat, and a over easy egg….).  It is also really healthy to eat—-the fermenting process encourages good bacteria to flourish—-and it’s so simple to make we were really excited to add this to our repertoire of food preservation methods.
